Hi guys!
So, A few weeks ago, I got my first W40 models: Some SM scouts and a Land Speeder Storm, and I really want to make them look good, and you can't look good without a nice base, right?
Right?

...So I came up with this. Enjoy!

Things you'll need:

Normal bases, preferably round

A hot glue gun

Fake grass from model train sets

First, you take your bases. I did the Land Speeder one first.



Here's my base. I spray-painted it white just in case I wanted to paint it, but I have a better solution:



I'm using a fake patch of grass, often used in dioramas and train models. You can find these at any local hobby store (but unfortunately GW doesn't sell these).
I glue the grass to my base with a glue gun, and cut out the hole for the transparent thing, leaving me with-

Now you just smooth out the edges, maybe add some twigs and pebbles and BAM! It's completed.

I made 4 more for normal infantry.

Seriously, can your soldiers have any more dakka when they're on these?
