Storm Guard

My local club are starting a Journeyman/Slow Grow league over a few months.

Already I play Cygnar as a completist, have a healthy Menoth force and a new eMorvanha Circle army...

I have a lot of Mercs and have my eye on Gatormen as my next main faction.

I'm wondering if Gatormen can work in this setting? If not, give me some ideas on what I could go for? Obviously going for Gatormen is the most expensive option but can look in to some other cool factions I may be interested in.

So what does and doesn't work, Battlebox up (not what I have, not Khador)

Gators definitely work as a faction. They just have limited list potential and you'll basically be stuck with 2-3 lists. Possibly a couple more after the battle engine and Jaga-jaga are available.

The bests lists are basically Rask's Bog-trog swarm and Calaban or Barnabus and all the Posse!

Jaga-jaga and the Altar of Sacrifice are new so all the tech hasn't been worked out yet.

As for beasts, the usual formula is 1-2 Bull Snappers, Wrastler, Swamp Horror, and either a Spitter or second Wrastler. The Spitter is good with Rask.

Rask is probably the best Gator warlock, but you need to bring lots of Trogs to protect him.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
