ok some questions Deathwing terminators need to have Stubborn and +5, can they also take Furious charge or Tank Hunters? Does the HQ of a Deathwing need, ie must take, a retune(sp?)? Where can I find the rules for alternate types of Drednaughts and Landraiders? other than that this army seems pretty straight foward. I have one tactical question, I figure people who know the answers to the above would know the answer to this. If I do not need a command squad for the HQ, is putting him with 7 assault terminators and mounting them in a Land raider crusader overkill/too powerful and expensive to be worthwile?

If I do not need a command squad for the HQ, is putting him with 7 assault terminators and mounting them in a Land raider crusader overkill/too powerful and expensive to be worthwile? yes the can take TH or FC but they must have stubborn hence 5 points more per unit than a normal termi. no your HQ does not need a retinue the only alternate raiders and dreads not found in the main codex are mortis pattern(twin heavy weapons arms), plasma cannon arm(costs the same points as a multi melta)-land raider prometheus with its 4 TL heavy bolters and improved comms (that allow a re-roll on deepsrtikes) but it is only a comand squad transport and the helios which is just a normal raider that replaces the HBs with a whirlwind launcher...on the good side if you have LOS you can fire the las cannons and use the machine spirit to fire the whielwind (i own al but the mortis) these are forgeworld models and all other information on them is on the forgeworld site and in imperial armour book II in the end you run the army your way, in my experience a squad of terminators is more useful than a land raider and a single land raider is going to die fast. my 1850 deathwing has 30 terminators and a podding dread. that being said if i want to run a 3,000 point game i throw in 2 more dreads and 3 raiders and i am set.

I'm sure it was a mis-type, but Stubborn is +5 per model, not unit. And yes, you can take TH or FC with it.
The Plasma Cannon for the Dreadnought is listed in the FAQ, so if that's all you want then you have no need to get IA2. However, if you want the Mortis Dread, I'd wait and see if they include it in the new Codex next year.
Mortis Dreads and Promethius (and Helios?) Landraiders are in IA2. But, MAN!, that book is expensive...

yes it is expensive, but it is a very nice book. and the helios is a great raider since it is the only vehicle that can fire an ordinance barage weapon and the tanks other weapons( TLLC) if you have not moved and have LOS thanks to the machine spirit. i love mortis's as well-6 TLHB shots or 4 TLautocannon shots for horde killing......i just don't really have anywhere to put one in my normal list.

OT! OT! OT!
Yea, I don't doubt its a nice book. My only problem with it is that I would probably only use it for the Mortis Dread. Spending that much on the rules for one unit just does not compute!
One day I suppose I'll pick it up. Does it have the rules for the SOB units as well (Repressor)? If so, I might pick it up when I rebuild my SOB force.
