Yo ma dakkas,

Tried to paint some menoth but got bored so a friend gave me the battle box for trollbloods, gristle bloodsong and I purchased a dire troll (built it as a mauler), think I'm gonna have fun painting these bad boys. Am a mega malifaux player but wanna try something new, have never played warmerhoards b4 so was wondering what to buy to expand.

Get a unit of troops, (Fennblades, Warders, Kreil warriors) and a Kreilstone bearer unit. Use the troops to screen your advance and the stone to buff. That's sort of the basis for alot of trollbloods armies.

Also, don't discount the battle box too much. It has some hidden strengths against other starter sets. All the models have reach, and you have 3 ranged attacks. And boost the ranged attacks of those impalers, critical smite is very good. It doesn't work like a lot of starter boxes where you just charge in and brawl, but if used right it is very good.

Is it worth exchanging the caster, I hear do shaper is the way to go but if so which variant?
