We had our OP2 last weekend with 3 players.
Player 1 had 1 Vorcha, 1 D7, 1 K'tinga and drew the B'Moth. He had the Klingon Flagship, Gowron and Donatra. Basic swarm. He did very well on points.
Player 2 had 2 Borg Scout Cubes and a Borg Sphere. He stayed at Range 3 and used Target Lock for rerolls. I don't think he lost a ship in his two games. He just didn't score enough points.
I had:
Keldon Class
Luaran
Boheeka
Keldon Class
Gul Danar
Keldon Class
Independent Scan Flagship
Breen Aide
Clark Terrell
I pulled the B'Moth
I racked up over 120 points each game. My basic movement was to get all Keldons right in Range 3 on turn one. I did this in a way to be right in Range 3 and if someone put a ship directly in line with the BCT and did a FWD 4 they would be closer. I then did a Bank 2 to the outside, a Bank 2 to the inside, a forward 1, and then started turning around the back of the BCT. The B'Moth just got in Range 3 on Turn 2 and did FWD moves; got close enough to take a shot away from the Keldons when needed. The Keldon's moves made it look like a question mark with the BCT in the middle. I was able to keep the Keldons attacking the BCT every turn.
Against the Klingon Swarm my maneuvers worked well to keep my opponent in the line of fire. He didn't have many fancy maneuvers when he got close. This allowed the BCT to focus on his ships and destroy half of them. I racked up more than 20 points more than he did.
Against the Borg I ended up with just one Keldon left. But I had so many more points than my opponent that it wasn't even close.
It took a while to fine tune the placement and the movement for my fleet. Once all the prep work was done it was kind of boring as it worked as planned.
