On iTunes I get this message "cannot connect to iPad update server" and on my iPad it just puts a "download request" in and says it'll notify me when the download is ready.
So annoying trying to update iOS these past few years.

Didn't it just come out in the last few hours? Typically the first couple hours are miserable because everyone is trying to get it. I'm personally not even gonna upgrade because I have a 6+ shipping to me for Friday. And I regretted every second of the ios7 update on my 4s.

Says I've got 12hrs til it downloads on mine lol. Feels like I'm in the bad old days of dial up internet!

Oh Jesus. Also the DL was HUGE, like 4.5GB. Which the last few have only been like 1-2GB.

Oddly enough it says on mine 1.2GB but then there's a message saying something along the lines of "thou shalt have 5gb free" It's just dropped to 6hrs now lol

Ahh yes, I guess mine is like that too. Says 4.5 free space needed but it appears to be a much smaller DL.

I would wait a few weeks.
Everytime, Apple releases a major updates... it's buggy.
Also, you'd want to give the app developers some times to tweak your favored apps.

Got it downloaded- the other day. Works just fine. Just the one app has crashed so far, which seems to be just the web browser. I wouldn't say it's massively different from 7 though, in fact I'd call it 7.5 rather than 8.

I was gonna say, I've been playing on my 6 all day and there seems to be very little difference that I've noticed.
