Is anyone else as excited as I am for this game? It's basically the captain toad mini games in the Mario 3d world but pumped up to 70ish levels and a point to the game, other than just getting stars. It looks gorgeous and I just cannot wait for December 5th to roll out. Anyone else?
I am bitterly disappointed that this was not a Bucky O'Hare game from the point of view of one of the Toads, or the long lost Battletoads 3.
It looks... cute, I guess.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.
I thought this going to be Slippy the Toad getting his own Starfox game, at which point I was about to lose all faith I had left in Nintendo

Yay I'm not the only one that remembered Bucky O'Hare.

I liked the cartoon show when I was a kid, I dont remember the name of the cat chick or the little robot, but I DO remember their ship was called "Righteous Indignation" because I thought it was fething great.
We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.
The details come and go, but I can still hear the strains of the song, and see the over the top toys in my mind's eye. It was the quintessence of the 90s- take a ridiculous concept, commit to it and embrace the silliness and the seriousness, and create something amazing. I'm almost afraid to go back and watch an episode and see if it has stood the test of time.
I'm afraid Toad has a serious case of smug-face going on here. The actual gameplay looks quite interesting, and I love the more claustrophobic visual tricks that are being shown. He isn't even charming like Kirby- he's just got that smirk that says he still remembers sending you to another castle, 9 times before you saved the Princess.

I never saw the cartoon, but I did have the game. It was one of the best... and hardest... sidescrolling adventure games on the NES.

Hah! You didn't see the cartoon?! Get yourself on youtube!
I think I must have only been about 10 or something, I used to watch it on TV when I got home from school, bizarrely I still remember the theme tune, but songs are funny like that aren't they eh?
I briefly played the NES game round my cousins house, and I remember getting pissed off with it inside twenty minutes because it was absolutely nails, so I put Mario 3 back on.

Like I touched on before, i absolutely loved the mini games of his in Mario world and played several times over. And knowing Nintendo, I bet this game will have tons of unlockables and probably even dlc add well.
I've also read that next year the game "will support specific Amiibos, more to come" which is making me think he will get his own Amiibo as well. I'd be cool with that, I've fallen in love with this character already. Sure he isn't as charming add Kirby, that would be hard to pull off. But Toad is a brave bad ass IMHO, because he charges in with no weapons and faces down the bad guys.
I think Amiibo's is a dumb concept I just want to play the game not have to buy a toy to use as my avatar in the game, mind you Skylanders is making a feth ton of money so it makes sense that Nintendo would want to try a similar concept.

Was it wrong that as a 35 bloke I was completely hypnotised by that trailer video?
Say what you want about Nintendo but boy do they know how to capture that childlike "wow factor" in games. The music had me bopping up and down in my seat.

Hey I'm 30 and I'm super excited for this game lol.
Amiibos are a strange thing I'm not entirely sure on yet. I want a Kirby one, and a captain toad if that becomes reality, but outside of what they do I dunno. Something about saving your play styles and such...... and even that I'm not too clear on. Maybe I should actually look into them. Because right now I want some simply because of the cool factor.
Ehh, honestly I'm waiting for the new Super Smash Bros. on WiiU.... Currently we have a weekend tradition of smashing it up with the regular Wii version, on our WiiU
Smash is certainly a fun game, but fighting games were never really my bag. I know eventually I'll buy smash on the Wiiu, but it's not going to be anytime soon.
Xenoblade X on the other hand...... that makes my stomach tingle with excitement. The 40 minute play through they did a few months ago just won't leave my head
