Went to a combat patrol tournament recently and organized the battle reports into a story about the life of the army across time.


It's my first attempt at something like this but enjoy

Not to beg, lol, but I would like some feed back on this. I would like to do more but need to calibrate what makes it good and what makes it bad so I can improve on the next one.

Well, I really enjoyed the opening and between game storylines that you put up for the battles. Those were really well thought out and I like the voice over and music. Really works well.

Things I didn't like were the speed of the reports in game. Obviously this is the type of tournament where you have to work fast so it's probably not the most optimal set-up for the video battle reports.

I'd like to see these with more time spent in game, maybe a bit more video work on everything going on.

Overall I really did enjoy watching the build up and mid-game stuff. Really well done with artwork and voice over. NIce.

Great job with the narrative, but kind of wasted on tournament games on low end tables IMHO. Your work deserves better!

Thanks, I sort of wanted to use the combat patrol tourney as a set up for more of this later on. I thought it would be a good setting. I'll take more times with the in game stuff next time I do a battle report.

Hopefully this weekend I'll film a new one and see what happens.

Nice tourney reports-- I really liked the fluff bits. That, and its always nice to see Sororitas winning.

Loved the narrative and the cutscenes. My only criticisms were language and the shaking camera. Great job and thank you for the report.

Any way you can do a print version?

I like narratives, but I dislike everything about video battle reports, and, unfortunately, this is no exception. I consume battle reports for their entertainment value, which is rather spoiled by poor audio balance and shaky-cam.

Perhaps if you did a write-up, incorporating snap-shots from your footage, it would be easier to get at the content than its current video format.

See, I can't stand reading the battle reports, I love video ones the best. I suppose I'll keep the format of videos and just use the steady cam function on my phone. haha. Other videos won't have so many cuts and music since it''ll just be one battle.
