Thanks y'all. I enjoy the feedback. Its a great motivator to keep working on things.
Manchu: It mostly results in me sitting in my game shed staring at toys rather than studying! But yes it really is a motivator for our game group to gather up and play games. We play pretty much every weekend since starting WW2 stuff.
Aesop: Im not sure if you are familiar with the Battlegroup ruleset but we play fairly small points levels on large boards, Usually around 400 points which equals a platoon, a tank or two and some sort of fire support. We like to have lots of objectives and plenty of space to maneuver so that the game doesn't turn into some meat grinder of pushing models toward the center of the board.
These armored panzer grenadiers are my real labor of love and the typical size battlegroup you would see on a Saturday afternoon in our group. Although the company commander and the platoon commander both rate large 251 half-tracks I don''t have the models for them so they get the shortened 250/1's instead which also means my platoon command squad is only four guys (maybe I should compensate myself with a free panzerfaust)
Some dug in markers made on
BF bases. Great use for plastics that break.
Plastic Soldier Company Panzer V "Panther". This guy hasn't seen much action. Hoping to get some kill rings on him in the coming weeks.
Also a little sneak peek of what is to come for our group......
