Hello! My name is Abilaykhan. I'm a Marketing manager at Vergil Design
I want to ask you to help us to promote our historical game, which is based on the book by François Michaud "Crusaders in the East," and tells the story of the first Crusades. It’s the first of our educational games, which aim is to make history interesting for children and adults.

Here is fundraising campaign, that we are launching on indiegogo:

here is video presentation:

Single player campaign describes the times when thousands of Christians went from Europe to the East in order to liberate the Holy Sepulcher. Our goal is to recreate atmosphere of Middle Ages, to make the game stylish, beautiful and alive, that is why each and every image, icon or background was redrawn several times until we could confidently say “yes, this is exactly what we were looking for”. We would like to recreate setting that you can see in Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven and the first part of Assasin’s Creed.

The game is a synergy of a board game with elements of tower defense. The entire plot of single player game was illustrated by hand by our artist. In single player there will be no repetitive missions with the sole goal of mechanical elimination of enemy's troops. Instead there will be a linear storyline accompanied with missions where you will have to reinforce and defend your fortifications, endure intense assaults and execute timely and well-judged counterattacks.

The whole goal of single player campaign is to make you rationalize and think through your decisions in order to develop the most efficient strategy for achieving victory in multiplayer game.

The main idea behind the game’s mechanics is in wise placement of troops which will give the player advantage in battle. For example a regiment consisting of 3-5 soldiers of the same type has a great bonus to attack and defense. However if the regiment is dissipated by a precise strike of an arrow or spear the whole bonus will be nullified. The player can quickly rearrange his soldiers and whole lines of troops in order to gain his advantage. For example if your first line of swordsmen is attacked by cavalry, you can quickly switch this line with a line of pikemen. Also you can manually control your ranged attacks in order to focus your barrage of arrows on particularly important regiments of your adversary. Different troops specialize on eliminating particular type of enemy troops. For example swordsmen are highly effective against pikemen and pikemen are effective against cavalry and so on.

There are 5 types of primary units – cavalry, swordsmen, pikemen, peasants and archers- each type has their own advantages and drawbacks. For example assaulting cavalry can instantly kill the first unit on their way, so it is wise to put the least valuable peasants in the line of attack. At the same time in each battle including multiplayer game amount of soldiers is limited (knights in full armor can not appear in the middle of the desert from nowhere) so life of every soldier is valuable and thoughtless attack incurring substantial losses can prevent the player from winning in the long term.

We will really appreciate any help from you and we are looking forward for your support.

Thanks a lot.
