Hello All. I'm here to talk a bit about the game I've designed, Clockwork Armada. Some miniatures, art, and game pieces can be seen here,
twitter.com/gamefleet, which currently represents a few of the existing range, with more painted examples due by the end of the week.
This game has been in development for three years, and I am excited about both the setting and the rules mechanics. If you imagined an alternate universe where pseudo-science and ancient views of physics and the universe were true, you would have a good idea how everything works. Treasure Planet and Last Exile had some influences on my thinking. In Clockwork Armada, ships sail between flat worlds on the eternally upward rushing winds of space.
The mechanics use a unique one roll
d10 system and features a Course Ruler of segmented one inch pieces with variable degrees of turn at each joint. More agile ships get access to more maneuverability. Damage is separated to each side of the ship, with additional damage leaking into the Core, which will eventually lead to the ship becoming a wreck. The bases also function for determining fire arcs and ship heading.
I am posting this for any questions and discussion. After a good few years hard work, I finally have things I'm excited to share!
