In the lore when traitors go renegade what happens to:
Imperial Guard - Astra Militarum: Their Storm-Troopers, Commissars (who turn traitor with them), Hydra Flak Tanks, Praetor Tanks, Leviathans. Never see these mentioned.
Adeptus Mechanicus: Skitarii, Thallax and Ordinatus. I figure the Dark Mechanicus refuses no weapon but
Imperial Navy: Lighting Fighters, Marauder Bombers, Thunder-Bolts, Valkyries and their aircraft period. Are these all gotten rid of in favor of Hel-Talons, Harbingers and the like ?
Space Marines - Land Speeders, Scouts, Centurions, Storm Talons and Storm Ravens, Razor Backs, Whirlwinds and the like. I notice the Crimson Slaughter and Astral Claws turned renegade recently but these don't show up in their service or that of any of the chapters turned renegade since the conception of these. Does their machine spirit prevent their theft or something ? Also what happens to their Grav weaponry ?
In all cases, Astropaths. Do the traitors still use these or are they given the boot in favor of chaos sorcerers ?
Furthermore, can some of the recent renegades get away with stealing from more established traitors, like I.E. Traitor Guard stealing from the original Traitor Imperial Army or someone like the Crimson Slaughter stealing from the Iron Warriors, Alpha Legion or Black Legion ? I notice it seems that some recent traitors have access to horus-heresy era stuff that could only be acquired through theft (unless they inherited from a parent chapter during the first founding.) like Contemptors, Fell Blades, Typhon Siege Tanks and the like while other stuff seems it could only be stolen from another traitor astartes force (Hel-drakes).
And on the note of the traitor guardsmen, how do they replace tank losses from combat and mechanical breakdown ? I notice some of them, like the Haradni 13th that attacked Medusa, had atleast 10,000 tanks. Are chaos Leman Russes, Baneblades, Basalisks and such made on daemon worlds ? Does daemon possession fix anything traitors can normally repair or do they actually take care of their equipment ?
What do you think ?

I'm sure someone better versed in all the books can tell us if there are examples of traitorous IGs/Imperial Navy using their old equipment, at least for a while. You might be answering your own question somewhat, in that the traitorous regiments don't so much get rid of their old equipment immediately, but aren't able to replace losses with the same stuff so over time, a traitorous unit with Marauder Bombers will eventually run out of those and have replaced them all with Hell Talons or whatever as Marauders lost couldn't necessarily be replaced. With Astropaths, not sure how big a distinction they make outside of the IoM between an "Astropath" with their psychic abilities and a sorcerer. Would newer traitors steal from more "established" groups? Absolutely, if they felt they needed the stuff, or the established group wasn't using the items "properly", or they looked weak, or Tzeentch "told us" to take them, or they just didn't like the look of the established group that day. That's part of Chaos. They have a pecking order until they don't.

The missing units are just a question of balancing.
If Chaos Marines got everything that Space Marines got, plus all the cool Chaos Doohickeys, it would leave Codex: Space Marines lacking anything unique.
So Chaos Marines get Hellturkeys and Maulerfiends and Defilers, and regular Space Marines get Whirlwinds and Stormchickens. There are a handful of overlap models, but that's mostly because they date back to the 2nd Edition fluff compilation, and both sides only had a handful of vehicle options (Land Raiders, Rhinos and Predators).
It's really just a question of game balancing, and it isn't established in the fluff.
But it's safe to say that corrupted Techmarines and other AdMech types get fascinated with creating a giant mechanical dog that shoots fire, rather than something boring like a Razorback. After all, if they wanted to do that, they could have stayed loyal.
