Subject: Obvious Lieutenants? Which ones are worth it?

So, while trying to make some Aleph, Nomad, and CA lists I noticed that it can be difficult to some armies or builds not to have a Lieutenant that isn't very obvious, nullifying any attempt at subterfuge as to Lieutenant identity.
Stuff like Asuras with certain weapons, all the CA lieutentants if you don't want to waste SWC, and more. Using a Moira or Custodier for Nomads too.
There's also that SWC 2 that comes with using some grunt Lieutenants.
Anyone find this a problem? I know that N3 is making loss of lieutenant less of an issue, if you conserve command points and prepare for a turn of all irregulars. I'm just wondering how people playing N1 and N2 dealt with it, and what techniques can be used in the future after N3?
CA, often has really expensive Lts, the Suryat, Sograt, etc. Which fits for the theme of the Morat. While those units are powerhouses with big guns and often multiple wounds, it still worries me to use them since I have so few units with CA/Morat anyway, that I'll have to risk the Lt on the frontline.
I also have to buy a few miniatures to finish up these extra armies that I've cobbled together, so understanding how to handle an obvious Lt would help. I'm struggling to grasp this for the Morat stuff, because I'm probably going to pickup the Suryat HMG Lt to finish a try before buy/loaner CA army.

If you're going an Asura, I assume you're going vanilla. Look into a Myrmidon Officer with Chain of Command? They're the obvious solution to obvious Lieutenant syndrome. For vanilla Combined Army, you're doing it wrong if you're not taking an EI Lieutenant. G: Mnemonica. This skill basically makes Loss of Lieutenant a completely forgettable problem. Lieutenant dies? Anyone with a cube automatically becomes your Lieutenant. And gains his WIP. WIP 17 Specialist? Go forth and win. Morats are in a stickier position, but like the Asura, you're underestimating just how downright tough a Sogorat is. ARM 6, 2W, Automedkit and Courage. Stick him on cover for ARM fething 9. A Sogorat with a Fauerbach is built to be a midline defender given his extreme durability and awesome ARO gun. Might as well have the ultimate badass lead your badasses as well.

What -Loki- said about the Sogarat, he is effectively a TAG and I think the highest ARM HI in the game and he has a 75%c chance to get back up from Unconscious. But unless you are playing MAF there is no reason really he should be the LT.

And you can fit that Soga in 150pt game with a 5 man Van link team. If you're a nut job like me that is.

I'm actually waiting for the upcoming Sogorat resculpt before I buy one. The Sogorat has great stats and its current model is okay.
But, I already have way too many older sculpts and discontinued models. I'd like to have a few new ones in case someone takes interest in playing CA.
Thus the idea for a Suryat or the Skiavoro first.

The Skiavoros is great. Stratego L2, good ARM, NWI, Mnemonica to make you never give a gak about LoL and a plasma rifle because why not?

There is an updated Feuerbach Soga in the MAF starter. Not a great pose but I'm playing about with one right now and there are some subtle changes you can make that vastly improve it.

How about Nomads? I used custodiers(for ODD protection) and nice Wip or Interventors but I play agresivly with my hackers and they tend to get hurt, same goes for Mobile Brygada.
I was thinking about Intruder Lt but its a shame to spend 36 pt just to hide you Lt and not use them, my biggest succes was wildcat Lt cuz they are often overlooked.
I cant wait for new Lt rules and stop playing "hunt Lt infinity"

Every Nomad kid want to be a Tomcat when they grow up. |

Guys, please don't convince me to buy the new MAF starter. I don't think my wallet or free time could handle it.
I already have MRRF and Haqq starters that will be my primary armies when N3 releases.
Then, I traded someone else a huge pile of old minis for ALEPH and old Nomad armies, both of which need a few things to complete.
This CA army I have is a bunch of old Morat models that a friend gave back to me, and I want to buy only the minimum number of models to make it work as a demo/loaner. Main reason I asked the original question is I didn't know what to get for the CA as Lt, since I didn't have a good Lt model for CA.
And all that is because I picked up urban terrain for my own game playtesting, which was also usable in Infinity, and had leftover stuff to use/trade.

Consider - he's a badass Morat in the heaviest infantry armour known to the universe with an automatic medical sytem that will revive him if he takes too many injuries, carrying a gun that fires armour piercing warheads. He has zero feths to give as he stands there contemptuously begging people to come out of cover to try and hurt him as he tears down entire buildings with his enormous cannon.

Well in my opinion it's not a great pose, not bad, just not great. Or maybe I'm better describing it as a badly executed pose. Stock fit, as the parts key together, there is no weight in the weapon, the limbs look a little awkward and the gun is at a weird angle from his body. Maybe it's my particular miniature that's faulty but it seems unlikely because it all fits together so well so it must be intentional. As I said, subtle changes. A slight raise of this arm, a slight lowering of another, moving the grip so the hand locates directly over the barrel, a slight twist of a leg. Suddenly he looks like the epic, gun toting, death spitting, killing machine that I'm proud to have lead my army.
Also, crazy off topic. Obvious Lieutenant is obvious.
