My friend, who often plays Grey Knights, told me about the Land Raider Ares Pattern. I have only be able to find references to the Dark Angles having them. I play Space Wolves and would like to know if it is allowed by my Codex and where I can find the rules?

On moon miranda.

It was an old Apocalypse conversion for the first release of Apocalypse back in 4th edition that GW wrote up. A very "unofficial" type thing with no specific "this unit is available to X armies" type thing nor even what FoC slot it takes (as Apocalypse doesn't care).

Purely from a background perspective, being exceedingly rare and originating with the Dark Angels, it being available to the Space Wolves would probably not be likely.

That said, here's the rules for it.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

this seems more like a tactics or a General Discussion thread than background. But if you want an updated Version, take a look at the lord of all monsters, the Typhon Siege tank . It is in form and function an Ares (albiet a bigger chasis, gun, and no flamers) and pretty close. plus you can take it as a LoW with space marines.

"Do you really think 7th edition was the best edition?"

"Yes, and I'm tired of thinking otherwise."
