List 2

List 3

Full disclaimer, I don't have many games under my belt, but here's my thoughts.
I won a 100 point tournament this past weekend playing Fat Dash with Jan Ors in support.

I like list #2, since it's got elite pilots. High PS still matters, so getting them out of arcs and still able to shoot is important. If you're a good pilot, you should be fines, but it's a finesse list for sure.

That said, the list I mentioned above (Dash/Jan Ors) was murder on lists like #2 and #3, and I was playing what I'd consider competent opponents. They had a lot of issues dealing with a turreted, high HP/shield ship that ignores obstacles and puts out 5 shots a turn that almost all hit.
It's sad to see Fel get one-shotted off the board when 3 blanks get rolled (it happens).

I like the Decimator, but haven't figured out what i want to do with it. Oicunn is awesome, and the low PS means he'll get his rams in, but what to bring in support? That thing is points HEAVY, but the turret is nice.
The recent WC was won by a list taking Oicunn, 2x Obsidian TIEs, and a Lambda w/ Vader upgrade.

What's the rest of the tournament field likely to bring?

They all look good in their own ways.

Personally, I like high PS aces, so list #2 would be for me. But I think #1 would be a better all-comers type list with more HP, the brutal battering ram of Oicunn and Soontir/Mauler for picking enemies off.

I haven't played X-wing at the venue I'm going to so I really don't know what to expect. With the release of the Decimator and Dash, I'm guessing that I'll see alot of those.

Ideally, I would like to play a double decimator list (basically replicating the Decimator in List #1 without Isard), but I haven't bought a second yet.

I'm not sure how sold I would be on double decimator just yet, but it'll take some playtesting to see.

Yes, Decimators take work to chew through, but they don't really put out much firepower, even if it is turreted.
The strength of decimators is having a bunch of upgrades on a solid chassis that cause havoc amongst your opponent's fleet while support ships can fly around and chip away.

This. It looks very intimidating, and it'll do it's best to grab your attention, but don't fall for it. Focus on the support ships around the Decimator's fleet first. Once it's more maneuverable and faster ships are taken out, focus on the Decimator then. It's got firepower for sure, but with enough saturation from 2 or 3 of your own ships, it'll fall in a few turns, tops.
