Hello Fluff Guru's

I'm building a Space Wolf + Imp Guard army, and i'm looking for a fluffy background for them (and possibly for paint).

Are there any notable guard regiments that interact with space puppies in any campaigns you guys can think of? Any help would be appreciated! thanks.

The Red Waaagh! campaign books might be a good place to look. It's all about SW/IG vs Orks. Check lexicanum.

The Armageddon Steel Legion worked with them in the various wars for Armageddon.

Cadian Shock Troops and Elysian Drop Troops in the Betalis campaign vs the Eldar.

The Crusade of Fire campaign book mentioned some 100 odd IG regiments involved in the crusade though I don't recall any details on specific famous regiments.

I'm sure there are others that people can point out or you can rightfully make your own up considering some of the massive battles that have occurred.

The Valhallan Ice Warriors would certainly have the appropriate look alongside the Space Wolves.

You could say they're human forces from the Fang.

The Space Wolves range across most of the galaxy. You could name any IG Regiment, even make one up, and say that they have a history with the SW. It need not even be the current members of the Regiment. Maybe they fought alongside the Wolves at the Purging of Infesticron VII some two hundred years ago, and proudly bear a ribbon on the Regimental colors commemorating that action...

None of the current soldiers in the Regiment were there, but the Wolves certainly remember.
