How much information would a techmarine be able to get from a tank?

I am planning on including this little bit into the fluff for my DA sucessor, using gear used by the fallen on caliban in an attempt to draw them out.

Most likely, it would be up to the machine spirit of the vehicle in question. It may let on that it's a Loyalist vehicle, but mask its true affiliation as a Traitor vehicle.

Regarding creating fluff related to Shrouded Provenance, perhaps, when recovered, the exterior of the vehicle was severely damaged/scorched, to the point that the only markings left raise questions as to which side the vehicle was used by. Deimos Predator XLI was clearly a Loyalist vehicle, but Predator XIII was known to be used by the Traitors, and the fact that, when recovered, it's markings looked like X' I, with blast marks obscuring the space between the X and I... and why do the headlights dim and the engine 'growl' when you mention Lion El'Jonson near it?.. Oh well, damned resilient Predator any way - be a shame to leave it sit in the armoury...

As for drawing out the Fallen, I can see such a tank being given the markings of the Traitor tank, even if it's unknown if it was the Traitor or Loyalist tank, if only to be seen by the Fallen, with maybe Loyalist markings on the interior, just so its driver, passengers, and it know who it really serves.

Ive got an idea for the fluff already.

Supreme grand master is called to engine room where motf tells him of a previously undiscovered chamber. Sgm thinks immediatly of luthers prison but then motf says it is an armoury locked for OVER 9000 years (did i metion the dragonball theme). Sgm recalls something luther said about trying a different way and decides to give the gear in the armoury to next da sucessor to be made in an attempt to draw the fallen to them.

The problem really lies with the techmarines. If they can find out about the fallen from the tank then they have to be part of the inner circle and therefore be unconnected to mars (like iron priests).
