Ok, so I tried a new formation idea. At the low point levels it was an unbound army but at 1,000 pts I'd add some boyz and make it a standard combined arms.

First off I had a Gaz Thrak model I used as a Warboss in Mega Armor with an Attack Squig. I surrounded him with three Smasha Gunz and two Traktor Kannons (Scratch built and lookin' good). I had a unit of boyz and a nob with a Big Choppa along with a Deff Dredd for protection. I also tried out a Forge World Grott Mega Tank I scratch built from a toy tractor loaded with rokkit launchas. (The only way all five turrets could hit a target it when it's running away, silly Grotz.).

The Demon player had two units of demon foot sloggers and a Demon Prince. His Psyker abilities were pretty impressive and painful to my boyz but they held up morale. Since we both wanted to get into melee we were clashing on turn 3 and 4. I blew my Waaagh! because the boyz didn't get a good enough charge number but my Deff Dred managed to get in the thick of it. The It Will not DIE! helped out keeping him alive long enough to grab the Demon Prince and go all Hulk on him (Puny Demon Prince...) That was the beginning of the end for them. Since the unit accompanying the Prince was tied down by the Deff Dred my boyz slammed into them on the next assault phase. Say what you will about the Slugga vs. Shoota debate dropping 36 dice worth of melee attacks convinced me that Sluggas rock! I had the whole squad of demons dead with only 24 of my dice. Still had another 12 to roll with no one to hit. The Deff Dred was pissed that he didn't get to smash any of the little crunchy things.

After that all that was left was a squad of little green crunchy things that between rokkits, smasha gunz and a skorcha were pasty bits all over the hill side.

The Grott Mega Tank was the best 165 points I've ever spent. Grot accuracy with the deadly S 8 AP 3 along with two of them being twin linked kicked ass in a crazy way. I highly recommend scratch building one for your next fight with anything that sports a lot of 3+ Armor saves. I plan to use it along with a trukk of Tank Bustas for spamming the squishy pink humies in their fancy armor with 16 to 17 rokkits every shooting phase. WAAAGHH!!!!!!

Everything will burn if you get it hot enough.
