Two questions.

1. The example in the rules states that a trooper with Impersonation may regain the Impersonation-1 state. Where in the rules is this allowed?

2. Compared to 2ndEd, does a trooper with Impersonation no longer have the ability to loot a weapon by killing an enemy in CC? ...or did I miss something?

Don't know about 1, but I read a discussion over at the Infinity forums where they concluded Imps can no longer loot.

1 Under the section for 'Activation' for the Impersonation - 1 state. i.e. spend a full order out of LOF of enemy models.
2 'Scavenger' is now a separate CC skill that allows a unit to pick up weapons/ equipment from unconscious units and also provides a coup de grace. If the impersonation unit doesn't also have Scavenger then it won't be able to loot stuff. So the Fiday and Speculo don't have Scavenger but Irmandinhos do.
