That texture paint you used for mud effect could get very costly when buying pigments would be a better choice and more cost efficient IMHO.

I haven't yet experimented with pigments, i would like to.

I like the texture paints, though i agree, it is costly.

Another suggestion could be using the GOLDEN coarse pumice gel. Its not too expensive and a container of it goes a long way.

Looking good, though I'd recommend using a few more colours to add a bit of depth. Dry mud is paler and matte, wet mud is darker and more glossy and you can throw in a couple of different browns to add a bit more depth.

If you want some quite dark weathering, I've been playing around with Secret Weapon's mud kit, this tutorial is on how to do muddy bases, but you can apply the same to make a muddy tank, if you read through there's a few tips in there for muddying up infantry and tanks as well.

Thanks skink, I'm definitely going to have to order those. That lis a wicked tutorial.

Also skink, have you tried there heavy body black? i don't know if i just got a bad one, but it straight up paints the stuff black, i shake it a ton, its a horrible wash (or at least the one i have is) and if you brush it on over any colour not black it goes grainy and black
