Hello. I'm trying to collect one of each sculpt for all the metal Nurgle models. The link below is the Beast of Nurgle that I have. I got him 2nd hand and don't know if he is model A or B. I'd like to buy the other one but I don't want a double. So if any of you know for certain, please help a fellow nerd out. (Note: the one I'm trying to buy is unassembled and since the models are so similar I can't decipher by simple glance). :(

Thank you!!

well if you're really old school this is the beast of nurgle

http://toyarmies.com/wiki/index.php/%D0%A4%D0%B0%D0%B9%D0%BBoC-4-BeastNurgle.jpg

more recent (and available in 2 versions with slightly different heads) was this

http://toyarmies.com/wiki/index.php/%D0%A4%D0%B0%D0%B9%D0%BBoC-4-BeastNurgle.jpg

but you look to have the most recent version there (which got moved to finecast),

and I've not been able to track down any reference to there being different versions of this (but only moans about how people could field units of identical minis)

so are you certain there were two versions of this one ?

(the only reference to A/B I've found is this US seller http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050430.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xbeast+of+nurgle&_nkw=beast+of+nurgle&_sacat=0 who has 3 which he's labled A, B and C but I'm sure that's just to show there are three separate lots on offer)

I concur... there was only ever one version of that model

Thank you so much for your findings. I researched this and couldn't confirm about the alleged A & B models. But I could swear I've seen pics where the models look the same but the heads are slightly tilted in slightly different directions. But maybe the player just partially green stuffed it?

Thanks again for the assistance, guys!

No problem,

I saw a lot of moaning about the fit of the bits and the amount of green stuff filling needed,

so I'd think that it would be very believable that you'd end up with heads tilted in different ways

I could have sworn that there were two different heads for that third-iteration metal beast of Nurgle. Or maybe I just had that much variation due to bending and warping.

2st iteration: The triangle beast linked above. http://www.solegends.com/citcat1995-6/cat19956p286-02.htm
1st iteration: Puppy dog beast. http://www.solegends.com/citcat912/c20259rcbeastsnurglings-h.htm

Puppy dog beast was a major cutie.
