Hello all,

My name is Warushi and I come from PA. Just wanted to introduce myself the proper way before I did any real posting.

A little about me, I work in IT as Tier-1 Tech Support. So a lot of my downtime at the office is spent browsing Dakka and wargaming blogs.
I started collecting, modeling, and painting 40k about middle of last year. I had started with a small force of Necrons, but have since moved on into forming an army of Chaos Daemons. I may finish painting up the necrons depending on what happens with this codex that's supposedly dropping soon.

I really enjoy the Chaos daemons, I love how much difference there is in the models which is something that I did not get from crons. I'm also liking the idea of extra randomness thrown into the gaming portion, and I'm looking forward to trying them out on the tabletop.

I've never really done any sort of wargaming before, but I'm enjoying the modeling aspect so much even by itself. Thankfully I have a FLGS that not only is trying to bring more people into 40k, but is excited and interested in what I've done so far.

I'm always looking for tips and tricks I can do to help improve my techniques and paint jobs. I'll probably be posting pictures up soon once I manage to take a couple decent ones. Currently working on Vampire Count Dire Wolves for counts-as Flesh Hounds as well as half a group of Bloodletters I still need to finish.

It's good to meet everyone and be a part of this community!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Hey Warushi! Welcome to dakka!
Glad to see another lover of the chaos daemons. Their physical appearance as models is why I chose them as my first army too! Though mine is focused mainly on Slaanesh because curvy girls.

Looking forward to seeing your paint jobs around ^^

Thanks Looosha! My order of daemonettes just came in last night and I'm already enjoying the models and I'm excited to paint them up, which I'm glad about because I was unsure for a long while before placing the order.

I'm going to try to do a fast assault daemon army, so I'm probably going to be seeing a lot more Slaanesh in my quest

Rending is honestly my favorite part about my Slaaneshi daemons. Also, dat attack roll on daemonettes. So rewarding to roll up on an armor 14 landraider and throw down 36D6 rending. :3
Fast assault is mostly how I play. Though I got wrecked tonight by too many guns and not enough cover. :C
I'm also recently not a fan of deep strike. Too heartbreaking to not get units in until turn 3.
