Hey all, I'm the noob here. Just starting Eldar and played in a (supposed to be) ZM tournament last Saturday down here in Ft Worth. The TO had his band saw break the night before the event so I actually play 1 ZM game and 2 regular games with my ZM list. I ran:
Farseer
Feugan
Dragons - exarch w/pike,fast shot
10 avengers - exarch w/shield+pw
5 wraithguard w/cannons
10 guardian defenders w/bright lance
5 spiders

Game 1:
Against a cool kid who brought an awesome looking army, but I absolutely wrecked. His 2 terminator units spamming flamers didn't get off a single flame attack, with Kharn (warlord) and his berserker buddies getting smashed in overwatch before getting to combat. I lost only the wraithguard this game, and everything else was full up. Full 13 points

Game 2:
The TO told me I could get a bye and a share of the average win, or play him to try and get full points. I chose the latter. He was running his Sons of Medusa (yes, correct pads and paint scheme - super awesome) w/an uber chapter master, 2 techies, 5 melta sternguard, 2 tac squads and an ironclad. Ended up coming down to Feugan and chapter mater slap fighting each other until Feugan finally killed him (damn 3++ saves) but at that point I had 9 tac marines in combat with me too (uh-oh). Then the greatest thing happened. Per the mission, any unit who destroys another rolls on the boon table form the CSM book (awesome scenario) and Feugan turned into a spawn! It got me out of combat with the marines and since he had called time the game was over. Kill point mission saw me only miss out on full points by 1, so 12pts this time. I should say that you go 2pts for a loss, 5 for a draw and 9 for a win - my bad.

Game 3:
Another marine player! This flavor was Dark Angels. The scenario also started with your warlord fighting a challenge before the game. I thought Feugan was going to own with his awesome ap1 axe and 4 base attacks. I didn't see Belial making 10 straight 4+ saves and me failing all my 2+ armor saves against his flimsy, pathetic ap3 sword. I was a touch upset at this point, but I shook it off and thought how I could salvage the game. He had 2 deathwing squads deep striking in, a land speeder (I know, kinda interesting thinking of a ZM tourney) and 2 dreads w/melta&heavy flamers. This was also a Killpoint mission, and at the end I had my dire avengers down to 1 guy + his exarch, my dragons only had the exarch and I had 1 wraithguard on his own, saving kill points on all of them. I ended the game with a bright lance/fire pike annihilation of his land speeder and a brain melt of a mind war on Belial (HAHA!! ). Definitely the most epic end to a game, EVER! I got a full 13 points again.

So all in all a super fun day. I'd been pretty jaded against 40k for awhile getting waxed with my Red Scorpions over and over. I tied for first with 38 points to cap of a fun afternoon of 40k gaming! Stoked to move forward with my Eldar. I am going to paint them up in the Yme-loc craftworld scheme as I am a fan of mech-dar (not serpent spam, mind you - I love my falcons too). Thanks for reading!
