Well I don't see any reason that they wouldn't. It doesn't note that the firing unit/model must be in LOS to get the benifits from a markerlight but I thought it would be a good question to put to the board b/c I just had a friend ask me.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

Good question...

Rules answer -- Yes. As you say, the rules don't say that the firing unit must be in LOS.

Intent argument in support -- Multiple markerlights can be used to negate Night Fighting LOS restrictions and increase BS as well.

Fluff argument in support -- Seekers do not need LOS and they home on markerlights. SMS are seeking/homing weapons.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Quite right. Although I did have to think a bit before the rules made sense. Basically instead of the SMS being on their "own" when looking for their target, they now have extra information coming from the Markerlights.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Not really an issue, seeker missiles dont need LOS either.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
