Hey guys, I thought I would call out to our lotr community for help on adding another 500 point evil force to my current Witch king and Easterling force.

I would want them to combine together for a 1000 points if needs be or operate as a single 500 points army, I am looking for something a little different and interesting to play yet has a good chance of putting up a good fight !
I have considered Mordor and Moria but Im not sure what I want to do

So pleeeease ! Help me !

Not got time at the moment, but I'll try and throw you a list together tomorrow. Is there anything in particular (playstyle, units, characters ect) that you would like to see? And if you could give me a quick run down of your current force, that could help too.

Thanks Para, just a side note I don't follow the warband rules

So My current force is
Witch king on horse back,
8 Easterlings with shields,
8 Easterlings with bows,
4 With pikes and shields,

and 6 kataphracts.

In the Moria force i was messing around with I had the Cave Drake, and in the Mordor one I have messed around with I had a Mordor Troll.
I am wanting a monster something to really carve through warriors, and supported by troops and average heroes or something like that if that makes sense ?

Right then. Evil, Different, Monsters coming up.

My first thought on seeing you had The Witch King was an Angmar force; it doesn't tie that thematically to the Fallen Realms, but as a standalone you can port over The WK to start, which is handy. And as for different, I think a spirit-heavy forces might be a fun one, lots of conversion potential (anyting painted glowy=Spectre )

So how about this:

The Witch King, Horse, 14 Will, 2 Might/Fate: 120

10 Orc Warriors, Shield: 60
10 Orc Warriors, Spear: 60

10 Spectres: 150

Burdhur, Troll Chieftain: 110

500 on the dot. Orcs for numbers, 10 Spectres gives you a very good chance of moving half a dozen enemy models a turn (basically mini-Compels), and Burdhur can smash stuff up while providing some Might as well (and he's one of the coolest models in the range to boot!)

Moria would be best suited to a Horde list, to complement the lack of numbers in your Easterling list. Something like this:

Gundabad Blackshield Shaman: 50
Moria Goblin Shaman: 45

5 Blackshields: 40
5 Blackshields with Spear: 45

15 Goblins with Shield: 75
15 Goblins with Spear: 75

Cave Troll, Chain: 85

Cave Troll, Chain: 85

500 again. Plenty of bodies, a fair bit of magic to throw around (I suggest Challened Fury from the MG Shaman in the middle of the blackshields, and the Blackshield shaman hides behind your line to either pop out and Tremor the enemy line or to Shatter someone's magic sword. He could also be swapped out for a Captain if you want a little more Might.

Hey thanks Paradigm, some great lists there, I still used the 4th edition book for building my armies as I am all for the older rules

However I did get my hands on the suppliments and was thinking of swapping the Witchking for Amdur anyway,

I do like the Spectre Idea actually, it would make a change to the normal bog standard soldiers that's for sure and I would love to convert some up as well as try get a hold of some of the original models, as lets be honest they were amazing !

Well Paradigm I am a very happy man great job !

Yeah, the spectre models are great! I'd grab a set of those if you can, and the rest you could convert from basically anything in the range, battered up and painted right. A mix of Elves, Men and Orcs could be cool, so maybe grab one of the Last Alliance boxes to undeadify?

It is funny how differently I build lists under the older rules; as you can see, I never used to take as many heroes as you have to now.

Glad you liked the list!
