So I found a nifty little RPG game called Star Traders RPG by the Trese Brothers. It was free off Google Play, and it was something like $3 for Elite, which has added features. You start as a starship captain in one of six factions (or you might choose to be independent) in the year 57.1AE (57 being the year, 1 being the week).
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Looking at the game from its page on Google Play I initially thought it was yet another cheap game made by some unknown company full of 15-year-old tech whizzes. It probably is, however its not cheap, and it's pretty good.
GAMEPLAY
Star Traders RPG is turn based, each turn taking a week. You get to do many things, among them you can participate in trade, blockade planets, spy on things, explore forests, fulfill faction contracts, and of course, participate in ship to ship combat.
MY EXPERIENCE
Having played one or two games to get the grips of it, and with both having failed miserably, I decided to have one more game. That game was very successful. The Captain Bob is a Level 21 Military officer in two factions (Principal Titan in the De Valtos Syndicate and Syndicate Rychart), a hated person in one faction (-2257 reputation with the Steel Song Clan), a Star Hero Curator within the Syndicate Rychart (1006 rep) and an Exemplar within the De Valtos Syndicate (374 rep), and he has survived to 205.53AE.
Don't know what any of that last bit means? Are you slightly interested? Go download this game now. You'll love it.
