Let me fill in all the details i know: (if anyone else sees this and has better or more up to date info, please correct me)
Table top has a MASSIVE gaming room that is always available during business hours, and often late into the evening. There are 16ish tables in there as well as a large painting station. As for a specific
40k night, i have no idea, but the staff is very helpful/friendly and im sure could set you straight.
The basement supports
40k in the sense that they sell some product. However, to what extent they have a player base i am unaware. They have 4 or so tables in store.
There are a few more in the KC area actually:
Pulp Fiction Comics in Lees Summit has up to 8 tables and supports open gaming.
Game Cafe in Independence has 6ish tables in their next door gaming space.
31st Century games in Olathe has 5 or so tables and supports open gaming. Some painting space too if I remember correctly.
Collecters Cache in Lenexa is a collectable card store that is branching into tabletop wargaming, I havent been but I am told they have a weekly
40k night.
We have a
GW as well but i wouldn't recommend gaming there. 2 super crowded tables and not even an ounce of elbow room. It is a hilariously small store, I think tabletop even has a larger selection of
GW product.

Big Tournies:
The Frostreaver guys hold a large-ish tournament in Lees summit yearly. It is called Midwest Massacre
GT. Fun event, but attendance has varied significantly in past years.
The Bugeater
GT in Omaha is the biggest event in the immediate area.
Hope that clears everything up
