Hi there!

I've been lurking on the forums for a while now and since Dakka seems such a fun place to be, it seems polite to introduce myself:

My name is Mike and, generally, I don't mind what people call me. A couple of years ago my nephew somehow conned his father into buying him a huge pile of Tyranids. These beasts demanded two things: firstly, a paint job; secondly, an opponent. Thus I did my manly duty and stepped in to help. Unfortunately (for my wife) this rekindled a long-dormant relationship/obsession with 40K, and just as 7th Edition launched I commenced with assembling a Chaos Space Marine army, Noise Marine-themed (one of my first miniatures was the classic Noise Marine with guitar-blaster). I have since been collecting a few Tyranids for myself as well. That these armies represent 'fun' on the one hand (since Slaanesh is, of course, the only truly good-natured Chaos God) and 'bugs' on the other, informs my nom de guerre. I will be posting prospective 1250-point lists for both armies soon to see what you guys think.

Yes it is! Cockchafers or Maybugs (whichever you prefer to call them, though for some reason people snigger when you call them cockchafers) - we don't see them very often in England; they have some kind of breeding/hatching cycle like Cicadas, I believe. Every fifteen or twenty years or so they hatch en masse and you get bombarded with the blighters. And they get stuck to your clothes, too, with these little hooks on their legs. I love 'em, though. I just think they're so cool!
