Without any spoilers.... I'm looking for the next novel to read after Mark of Calth(I've already read Know No Fear). Browsing the selection Betrayer or Rlues of Engagement seem to both follow in the wake of Calth's destruction. Which one should I read first?

Any suggested Ultramarine novels after Betrayer and Rules of Engagement? I would like to read the novels in chronological order.

Are there any Ultramarine novels that take place during the Great Crusade that predate Know No Fear as far as the timeline? Any novels that discuss Guilliman prior to being reunited with the Emporer or that cover that series of events? Similar to how Descent of Angels covers the background of The Lion?

Thanks!

Betrayer followed by Unremembered empire is basicly the order you wanna go for the horus heresy ultramarines. rules of engagement is a short story you can read "at your leisure" it's not really part of any larger narritive

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

So Betrayer then Unremembered Empire.... Thank you!

Any suggested UM books after? That follow the time line without jumping too far ahead of the heresy's progression. Are there any novels, short stories or audio books that focus on Guilliman's backstory or any other Um character's backstory? ie their actions prior to the Great Crusade or actions early on during the crusade?

As far as the HH series and the timeline I've read the lot up to the Istvaan V battle and several novels and novellas covering the immediate aftermath(Ravenguard's evasion and escape up to trying to rebuild their legion, Vulkan Lives, Alpha Legion series up to Istvaan V, all World Eaters centric Novels up to Istvaan V, Flight of Eisenstein, Imperial Fists actions immediately following Istvaan V, the events surrounding the Dark Mechanicus traitorous actions on Mars, Prosperous Burns, Thousand Sons, all Dark Angels pre Heresy novels, Garro series up to Burden of Duty(not read yet), all Word Bearer centric novels to include Mark of Calth, Censure, and a short story about Fulgrim/Emperor's Children immediately following Istvaan V. Anything I'm missing?

Sorry for so many questions. The Black Library suggested reading order for HH is hopelessly flawed and terribly out of order as far as the timeline.

Unremembered empire is the last novel that really focuses on em. Ultramarines do however apper in vengeful spirit. but not in any major huge important role.
