A lot of people don't like the rules for maelstrom missions, and after thinking about it (and wanting to make some sort of Sabotage mission), I realized the maelstrom cards had all the tools necessary! Now, if I had suggested anything involving a deck of cards before 7th edition, you guys would have sent me to Titan for Inquisitorial review!!!

Take only cards 11-36, aka the objective cards

Now fort the fun part! Instead of scoring points for holding that objective, you can increase the points value of that objective or decrease it!!! Now for the details

If you are holding the objective you may play the properly numbered card (aka 16, 26, or 36 if you are holding objective 6) and increase or decrease the value of that objective by 2 points!!!
If you are contesting the objective you may decrease the point value by 1 point
At any time, you may increase the value of an objective by 1 point

You may also discard your entire hand at the end of your turn if you wish, drawing another X amount of cards.

This represents getting tactical information from headquarters, or whomever is in charge of your mission. If you are holding the objective, can see even more value to the objective and choose to either hold it yourself, or sabotage it to prevent the enemy from getting more thoroughly than if you were seeing it from a distance!

I haven't had much time to flesh this out further, so let's discuss what could make this even better or fix whatever may be inherently wrong with it!
