That's a really good start.
Having double neurosurgeons is always good when running Mcthralls (if you have the points) because you can potentially make more thralls (Max 6 vice 3). In practice, it makes it much harder to take out the lynchpin parts of the recursion machine with two.
The skarlock and WWS are gold, and they fit with most any caster. Both help with focus economy (the WWS can powerboost a node, saving Denny a focus for casting), but the WWS is also a great utility piece.
Eventually you'll want to swap the slayer for a different heavy (or remove it entirely), but it's a solid starting jack. Likewise, most casters only want 2 nodes, but 3 is fine to start out.
Oh, funny thing to do with WWS. Attack a non-reach heavy at max reach range. Since most heavies have lower def, you stand a decent chance to hit and since it can't move under shadowbinding, it can't move up to retaliate.
