As many others that have to write their first post, I have been following Dakka for a couple years, but never had a reason to plunge into the wide world of posting. As it stands I still don't expect to post much, but did want the option to!

One of the many attractions I have had on Dakka is the many kickstarter threads, as I am firmly addicted...but trying to cut back!

As far as gaming is concerned, I started with D&D over 20 years ago, and have moved on into wargaming and other board games. I still do enjoy playing RPG's, and have rulebooks for at least 4-5 different systems. In terms of wargaming I have a complete army of marines, painted as Stormlords, the illustrious second founding chapter from white scars gene seed. I also have the start to a wood elf and lizardmen army for fantasy, but haven't gotten anything for either since the last edition.

I have started to bench my GW models though, and have begun to look more at other companies. I have painted a number of Wyrd models, and have started looking more at the high quality resin models. Specifically, I've been bit by the Kingdom Death bug. Anymore, gaming has been second, painting is my first love. So its all about the fun models now. I'll try to throw up a few painted models soon in ye olde painting and modelling forums soon!

Welcome!! If you are branching out into other brands, try Privateer Press. I just recently gave them a try. Got a Nephilim Bloodseer and was really impressed! I got a bit bored with GW models lately. They are still good! Don't get me wrong. But I wanted to try other areas.
