Hello everyone! I've been reading the forums for a few weeks now and finally decided to create an account. I really love the gallery and seeing how awesome the paint jobs are and getting ideas for my own models. I bought the Dark Vengeance set about 2 weeks ago and I'm having a blast painting them (although not very good lol) . I've been having so much fun I've even bought the first book in the Horus Heresy and flew through it and just bought the next 3 books in line lol. Awesome story behind this game!!!
I love the idea of the Black Legion so I've started painting my models in their colors. I'd love to create an army of Black Legion. I don't have anything close to a real army yet as I assume the Dark Vengeance set doesn't really count as an army. I'm looking forward to actually playing a real game as I haven't been able to yet ( girlfriend just doesn't seem to interested in learning the game with me) LoL.
Well I guess that's enough rambling for now but I look forward to reading and hanging out here with you guys!

We're pretty much in the same situation! I've been into 40K for a couple years now and painted the occasional model here and there, but I only just decided to seriously assemble an army a couple months ago. Glad to see I'm not the only newbie around! Be sure to post your pics in the gallery and rate everyone else's.

Nope your not the only one ! I don't know anything about actual game play but the painting and books are keeping me occupied for the time being lol

One idea is to paint up the DA as fallen, and use them as chaos marines models. (The terminators will be have to count the A.Cannon as a reaper autocannon, but other than that it'll be wysiwig)

Thanks a lot Robisagg for the info! That's was actually gonna be my next question. I was hoping I could use all the figures as Black Legion but wasn't sure if that was OK or not.
