Me and a friend are thinking about making silly videos just for the fun of it, but we can't find any good video editing softwares. We want something that's free, easy to use and most importantly: We need to be able to overlap 2 different videos. Any suggestions? I'd prefer not to use a program for a week before having to pay.

What do you mean by "overlap"? Are you talking about doing a transition, like a fade into one scene from another?

If so, Windows Movie Maker is free, and although it's not great, it's certainly capable of doing transitions.

I'm talking about having a video play over another video. movie Maker can't do that.

You mean like picture in picture?

Yeah. I'd also love to be able to, i don't know, make the pictures/videos spina round in the frame, etc.

I don't have any hands-on experience with it, but I believe this is free and supports those effects..

Pay attention when you install it, and decline the 3 pieces of adware it will suggest.
