We're an RPG group that meets Friday nights, Pacific Time over skype and Fantasy Grounds (a virtual table top program free for players) looking to add 1-2 new players. We're a stable, long term group but recently real life has increased the professional and/or parental responsibilities of some of our players, so we'd like some new blood to beef up our ranks.

We have several active campaigns, running from outright hack-and-slash to more role-playing based talk fests. There's something for everyone. As a group we're laid back and friendly, ready to help inexperienced players with the rules of whatever game we may be playing.

If you're looking for an online RPG group, or think you might just like to give it a try, and you're available Friday nights, send me a PM or post here.

Thanks!

When do your sessions begin?

They are Friday afternoon for me.

I am tentatively interested, what games do you generally run?

We generally either play Runequest, an old fantasy game from the late 70's/early 80's or Shadowrun, 3rd edition.

The basic group situation is I (the GM) favor sci-fi like Shadowrun, Star Wars or Fading Suns, but several of the players prefer fantasy, leading to a kind of alternating system based largely on the sentiments of the group on that evening. The fantasy games tend more towards combat while the sci-fi games are a little heavier on the role-playing.

It would be fair to say that as a group we enjoy playing a wider range of games rather than just one for weeks on end.

You play old Chaosium Runequest.
That game means a lot to me, as you might be able to guess.

I will check my hardware and time availability, then if acceptible will inform you if I am available. You can take it from there.

I have played FASA Shadowrun, never got into it, but know the background if not the system. Fading Suns, is box I can check. Not played it but again know the background.
Never taken much interest in Star Wars in any form beyond the three original films, and a once through of the prequel trilogy.

Ah, Orlanth. Foul slime, curse of existence, begone! Hah, yeah, we play old school Runequest.

But recently we decided to start a new Fading Suns campaign to play for the next while at least, as a way to integrate new players into our group. After a few sessions, if they like us and we like them, we'll look at including them in our ongoing Shadowrun and Runequest campaigns.

I think you have Orlanth mixed up with Thed.

Speaking as a Yelmalio player, they're both pretty scummy.

Nah, just the total celibacy one. Bathing seemed pointless after that...

At any rate, we've decided to start a new Fading Suns campaign as a way to work in recruits. We figure it's better to begin fresh, then slowly work people in to our main Runequest and Shadowrun campaigns, if they decide they like us and we decide we like them.

Hey guys,

Never played Shadowrun or Runequest, but reading the posts on the thread have piqued my interest.
I have begun to read a bit into it and I would very much like to try it out. Mind if I join?

Let's get War-HAMMERED. I am rather new to the 40k scene, I have decided to use the Astra Militarum as my main for now, so yeah. Get rekscoped.
