Also; I totally gak-the-bed teaching Jordan how Religious works. I reversed Loss of Lieutenant and Retreat in my head. Serves me right for always playing the Atheists. I also cock-up first turn choice.
As some of you might know, I'm no longer with MWG. No clue what they'll do for Infinity in the future, but I'm hoping to start doing Infinity weekly on my own channel.

Loving your reports Ash, they definitely helped me to grasp the rules. I jumped on the Infinity bandwagon with Operation Ice-storm and watched a few reports before I picked up the proper rule book, yours are my favourites!
Thanks for posting, but I don't really get the point of this bat rep, sorry. You are clearly very experienced and your opponent clearly isn't. Surely it would have been better to go with a smaller game and leave out most of the advanced rules? You were bringing combined orders etc. while your opponent looked like he didn't have a great grasp of the core mechanics. In the first turn you allowed him to ARO against your sniper [clearly a bad choice] even though you knew he would be at -12 to hit. You could argue that the only way to learn is to make mistakes but a bit more guidance on the obviously stupid moves wouldn't have gone amiss. No wonder he didn't look like he enjoyed the experience at the end...
I did coach him quite a bit off camera, which obviously you'll miss in this. We were prepping for him to play in a league, so we used the full gamut of rules as he'd be diving in the deep end eventually. Sorry you didn't enjoy the game!

Ah that makes sense. Sorry if I came off as a douche, I think it reminded me of 'coaching' games in the past where my opponent used it as an opportunity to face stomp me. Lovely table btw.
