I downloaded 1.73, installed it. Then I got the 1.73.9 and extracted it to the soulstorm folder, telling it to overwrite everything.

Now the game manager says it failed to load the selected game whenever I try to get it to turn on. Anyone have a similar problem?

I've had the same problem before. Did it say "Ultimate Apocalypse," instead of, "Soulstorm?" I know you may have to install the Tyranid mod, as well as possibly the Inquisition Daemonhunt and Chaos Daemons mods.

If you do manage to get the mod working, you'll be in for a real treat. It adds a LOT of new units and buildings for all armies and includes, "superweapons," basically imagine better ordinance (though the loading screens are kind of longer).
