Hello all, just started playing Trollbloods and my first 3 games have been fun (I lost, but that's going to happen a lot I hear). I am trying to use Borka as my first caster because I have heard that he is an easier caster to learn on and because he is just awesome. I mean, what's not to like about a keg toting drunken brawler?
Here is the list that I have put together:
Borka & Keggy
- Slag Troll
- Pyre Troll
Full Fennblades +
UA Full Warders
Full Champions
Full KSB + Elder
Sons of Bragg
Fell Caller Hero
Fennblade Kithkar
I played one game with a Mauler as my beast, and the other two with the setup above and I think I like having the ability to hide my beasts in a sea of medium bases. My basic strategy has been evolving as I get a better grasp on the rules, but usually I jam with the Fennblades and Kithkar with the Fell Callers close behind. The Warders and Champs make up my second wave followed by the KSB, Borka, and the Beasts tossing out animi and AOEs/Acid. I've only used the Sons of Bragg once thus far, but I like them, especially having that second spray attack. As I am just starting I am a bit light on replacement infantry models, but here is what I have in addition to the above:
Mauler/Blitzer/Bomber (plastic magnetized)
Bomber (metal)
EBDT
Swamp Troll
Another Pyre Troll
3 Impalers
2 Axers
Mulg
Full Champions
Full Warders
Skaldi Bonehammer
Janissa Stonetide
Trollkin Sorcerer
Fennblade Kithkar
Horgle Ironstrike
Trollkin Runebearer
Northkin Fire Eaters
Thanks in advance to any tips that might come along. If anyone feels there might be a better unit that isn't in my collection please don't hesitate to suggest it. I plan on playing in a tournament on the 16th of May (steamroller) and would like to not be as much of a doormat newbie as possible
