I... actually don't know. Help?

I've got a P&M blog, which I try to update as much as possible. I do have one issue: I can only update it once every 12 hours. It doesn't matter how many pictures I put in every post, if I update it sooner than 12 hours after the last post it's submerged into one horrible blob. This prevents people who have exalted and subscribed from seeing that an update has been posted.

My point is, is it okay to have a second Dakka account, from which I also upload pictures to the P&M Plog, bypassing the issue with the 12 hour period of no posting.

It is never OK to have more than one account.
-Not a mod.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

To get around the blog issue, posts with files/images attached won't append to previous posts, so if you need to update within 12 hours then simply attach (in the Reply window, at the bottom) a blank file like an empty Word Document, submit the post (which should then exist as a new, rather than appended, post) then edit and remove the file.

It's kind of cheating, but does solve your problem without breaking site rules.

I just read through the rules of conduct, and I did not see anything about several accounts being forbidden. Huh?

Have you read the Forum rules?
http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/forum_rules.jsp

For disciplinary and site administration purposes, all users are expected to maintain only a single user account on Dakka. Secondary, or 'sockpuppet', accounts are not permitted. Users found with a sockpuppet account (especially those created specifically to break further site rules) will typically have their access permanently suspended.

Yup, this is your best bet for Blog posts. The handy part of this is that in the Blogs section, attaching your pics to the post also automatically uploads them to the Dakka Gallery.

No, we limit it to specific forums where it makes sense (like the painting and modeling forums) to avoid getting our gallery filled with some of the random crap that people attach in other types of forums despite our best efforts to prevent them from attaching non-wargaming related pics to their posts.
