Although I really like the sculpt for Krueger, I've come to realize that Baldur will fit my play style better.  With that said, I've put together two tentative 750 point lists featuring him and a large number of elemental constructs.  Here are the lists:

LIST ONE

++WARLOCK++

Baldur the Stonecleaver ? 65 points

++WARBEASTS++

Woldwarden - Heavy warbeast ? 116 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast ? 72 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast ? 72 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast? 72 points

++UNITS++

Wolves of Orboros - Huntsman and nine troopers ? 83 points

Tharn Ravagers - Beast Lord and five troopers ? 110 points

Tharn Ravagers - Beast Lord and five troopers ? 110 points

Shifting Stones - three stones ? 21 points

Shifting Stones - three stones ? 21 points

Models in Army:  33 models

Total Army Cost:  742 points

LIST TWO

++WARLOCK++

Baldur the Stonecleaver ? 65 points

++WARBEASTS++

Woldwarden - Heavy warbeast ? 116 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast? 72 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast ? 72 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast? 72 points

Gorax - Light warbeast ? 57 points

++UNITS++

Wolves of Orboros - Huntsman and eight troopers ? 75 points

Wolves of Orboros - Huntsman and eight troopers ? 75 points

Tharn Bloodtrackers - Huntress and eight troopers ? 87 points

Shifting Stones - three stones ? 21 points

Lord of the Feast ? 33 points

Models in Army:  37 models

Total Army Cost:  745 points

I'll try to give a little insight into my choices and answer any questions tomorrow as I'm just about 'sleep-posting' now    As always, any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Quick question: why 750 instead of 500? Just curious.

Why Wolves of Oroboros? It seems like anything they can do could be done better with something else.

So any Warmachine players may use their epic warcasters.

And I have since revised my list thanks to the feedback I got on the Privateer Press forums. This is the revised list:

++WARLOCK++

Baldur the Stonecleaver ? 65 points

++WARBEASTS++

Woldwarden - Heavy warbeast ? 116 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast? 72 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast ? 72 points

Woldwatcher - Light warbeast? 72 points

++UNITS++

Wolves of Orboros - Huntsman and six troopers ? 59 points

Wolves of Orboros - Huntsman and six troopers ? 59 points

Druids of Orboros - Warder and five troopers - 84 points

Tharn Bloodtrackers - Huntress and eight troopers ? 87 points

Shifting Stones - three stones ? 21 points

Lord of the Feast ? 33 points

Models in Army: 38 models

Total Army Cost: 740 points

There's also a lot of good ideas for the Wolves of Orboros HERE, not the least is the fact that they make good Fertilizer fodder for the Woldwatchers.

I like it, especially the image of a worldwatcher hurling a wolf at a caster or warlock to make a forest template appear, so Baldur can forest walk and thwack.

Heh, I like how it seems like the most useful things Wolves can do involves them dying...

I prefer the first list, though I am not sure I wouldn't prefer a second Warden and drop a unit of wolves. Another free spell and heavy durability is always good. Alternately, Ravagers could add some more infantry killing goodness. I just think those 118 points of wolves would be better spent elsewhere.... The small size makes them pretty vulnerable and why take 2 throwaway units?

Because I don't see them as 'throwaway' units. There's a lot of good ideas for the Wolves that I want to try out.

Yeah, I do think of them as throw away units but units like that have alot of use, such as the "throw and sprout" strategy lol. But also, they can envelope large enemies, disrupt charge paths, cost next to nothing per model so expendable, and my favorite is that they are a unit that can take out other units that cost more than them but getting an effective 11"charge w/pathfinder...... Plus I like the way the look

lol
