I just started playing about 2 months ago and only have a few games under my belt. That being said I am completely in love with 40k. I had never played a tabletop wargame before 40k but have been a fan of RTS games for a while now ( my first one was Starcraft: Brood War.)

I play Chaos Space Marines and love every drop of blood I spill for the daemon lords.
