At Saturday, I battled Alex with my Cryx army, 50 pts, incursion, SR2015, no kill box here.
Here are a view impressions from the ongoing battle.

My list was infantry heavy, with 2 Defilers, 10 Bane Knights, 10 Bane Thralls, UA, 6 Bane Thralls, BLT, Satyxis Raiders plus Seawitch, 6 Mechanithralls, 6 Scrap Thralls, and Warwitch Siren.

In round 4, it was game over after caster kill. This is shown in the last pic. The seven Knights made their vengence move and killed Xerxis. The first two hits were transferred to the last heavy beast. But it didn't help. He died horribly.

I just can't see the way out for him, no Archidon left for sprint, no Molik for fatewalker, I don't see how he gets out of banes to the face. Unless this was just a a desperate attempt to clear that flag or something and go for a scenario win...

A colossal or an infantry list would have been better for him here.

Makes more sense, thanks. Until the spray colossal drops though, I dunno about a colossal list. Banes will eat a mammoth.

Indeed, a colossal is not a good match-up against Banes.
My Skarre1 list contains only Bane Knights. This list is even more brutal vs a beast heavy or colossal list.

Well the Hydra could be, 3-4 sprays isn't it? If they're Spray 10, it could maybe get work done against a unit of banes. But yeah definitely not the mammoth.

I'd say good luck in the rematch, but well Cryx.....ew.

Yeah, the spray is brutal but good luck to wipe out a full unit of Banes in one go.
Otherwise, eGoreshade will bring some of them back in the feat.

Oh right of course, I had my casters mixed up. 50 Shades of Banes will do that to a bloke. Yeah just no skorne gargolossals at all. Poor things

My other list is Skarre1 with 30 Bane Knights.
Against a shooty opponent Skarre's feat is useful to bring the Knights to ARM 21.
Next time I'll try this list against Alex.
