I was bored and experiencing Primarch envy that everyone else has rules for theirs so I came up with my own rules for my favourite.

Sanguinius (500pts)

WS:8 BS:5 S:6 T:6 W:6 I:8 A:5 LD:10 Sv:2+ Flying infantry

Primarch, Bulky, Preferred Enemy: Chaos Daemons, Hit and Run, Psyker lvl 1.

Armour of the Angel: 2+ 5++

Blade Encarmine: +1S AP2, Blind, Instant Death on 6s, Master Crafted.

Angelic: While on the table all imperial units use his leadership.

The Angels Descent: Sanguinius may add or subtract 1 from his reserve rolls and when he deep strikes he doesn’t scatter.

Shockwave: Immediately after deepstriking Sanguinius may cause everyone within 3” to take a S10 AP- Pinning hit and everyone else within 6” takes a S5 AP- Pinning hit. He must be gliding after doing this.

Ultimate Sacrifice: Should Sanguinius die, all Blood Angels must move towards the nearest enemy unit and if possible charge said unit on the next turn.

Psychic Power: Gift of Foresight WC1: Sanguinius may choose to re-roll 1s for either his saves, to hits or to wounds rolls until the start of his next psychic phase.

I wanted to capture all the main characteristics of Sanguinius and give him stats that would allow him to have a good fight with a Blood Thirster.

The things i'm not sure about is how to represent his psychic powers and that he may be a bit OP with all his potential re-rolls especially against Daemons. Also the names are pretty cheesy.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

What rules do you have for in mind for flying infantry?

With that statline, you may as well make him an FMC and say that he can't vector strike but that he can do some other type of attack (angel dust sprinkling)

Then he gets:
Fear, Hammer of Wrath, Move Through Cover, Relentless, Smash, Jink, Vector Strike.

Give him a beefed up inferno pistol 18" 8/1/ melta (2) for anti-air fun.

all the other primarchs are infantry so i figured he should be that, but give him the flying characteristics of flying monstrous creatures without the mostrous creature characteristics.

He gets ALOT of stuff just from the primarch special rule which gives him Independent Character, Eternal Warrior, Adamantium Will, Fear, Fearless, Fleet, Precision Strike/Shot, and It Will Not Die.

I think those stats are pretty much the same as fulgrims

Does he ever use an inferno pistol?

What do you think of the special rules?

The burning pits of Hades, also known as Sweden in summer

Just make him jump infantry and let him vector strike, like Corax.

I guess that would be a fair enough solution.

I was tempted to say he could choose to be jump or jetpack infantry at the start of each turn.

What would you think to that?
