So I recently decided to replay DA;I on my PS4. Upon playing it, I realised it had wiped all my saves, which was the first warning bell. The second came when I noticed that the multiplayer option was greyed out, due ti it installing content. This is a game I bought upon release weekend, and played multiplayer with a friend, on many occasions. This was the second bell. The third, and final bell came when I played the campaign until I had to go to Val Royeaux, and the game kept crashing and ejecting the disc.

I checked on the forums for help, and haven't been able to find any solutions. Anyone here had the issue and/or fixed it?

Urgh. I had to completely wipe my PS4 to factory settings. GREAT. I'll find out if this works after it updates.

Update: Its not fixed. I'd appreciate any suggestions that can render the game playable again.

Did you install the patches after installing the game?

Fully patched. Tried it with and without them, as well.

From what I've read on the various interwebs a suggested fix is to power down the device, disconnect everything from it, hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, reconnect everything, power back on.

Most of the 'disk being ejected mid-game' error's I saw all had DA:I in them, not specifically the area you are in, but the theory is that the game get's stuck in a loop and the PS4 becomes stupid.

On the note of erasing data that's just weird. I had gone from a 360 to an Xbone and naturally none of the saves or MP stuffs were transferred - but I haven't heard of random data deletion. Also, for the MP button being greyed out, I BELIEVE that's because you're not signed into the EA/Bioware account - I think.

Note: most of the notes after the suggested fixes regarding the random cd ejection were to contact Sony Customer Service and let them know - if you did a factory reset already and that doesn't seem to fix it, contacting them might be a good next step to try.

The MP is greyed out even when I am signed in. It's greyed out because, despite all 44 GBs being installed, it;s still installing content. The same content installation bug renders the single player part of the game unplayable beyond The Hinterlands as well.

Yeah, this happened to me originally. Even though it says it is fully updated, you have to wait for the content to finish downloading. It allows you to play even though it is not finished all the way and then crashes.

If you highlight the game and hit the options button, you can check to see if it is still installing.

Mine isn't installing. At least it doesn't state that it is. I left my PS4 on rest mode for over 12 hours, letting it download. Nothing.
