HQ - 8/10. I would take a missile pod on the commander instead though. I would also be using both HQ spots in 1500.

Elites - 5/10. It could be worse, you could be wasting points on useless equipment and bad units, but not having any elites in 1500 just feels so wrong.

Troops - why confuse me? I assume 1 unit of 6 with markerlight, and 1 unit of 6 in devilfish. 6/10. What you did right was minimise. What you did wrong was leave out a unit of kroot. I also don't think the seekers are a good idea.

Fast Attack - 6/10. I don't like pathfinder lists in general. Sensor spines are not worth it, get disruption pods, and I don't think you need the seekers.

Heavy Support - 7/10. Hammerheads are better with smart missiles, and disruption pods are useful on them too. A skyray in general isn't a good unit, and missing out on any upgrades makes it worse. Take a targetting array , multitracker, and decoy launchers at least.

Overall - 5/10. Not bad for a markerlight list, but markerlight lists in general aren't that good. I also fail to see any use for the markerlights other than seekers.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to drop to get some elites.

Originally, I was thinking of dropping the two Shas'vres for a squad of 6 Stealth Suits, and downsizing my Shas'el so I can take two with Plasma Rifles and Missile Pods. However, doing that would reduce my anti-space marine weaponry.

The troops should be two units of 12 Fire Warriors. I was thinking of taking the seekers so every unit with markerlights has a good amount of AT available. Since this is a Mech Tau, I don't see the point in taking Kroot. You really think I need em?

I liked the Sensor spines mostly because you could ignore dangerous terrain and take advanced of obscured target too. However, as you pointed out, disruption pods are better and cheaper.

I like the Pathfinders because the new markerlight rules means I can dramatically increase my fire efficiency against a target (Two submunitions, or 24-48 Pulse Rifle shots hitting at 2+, for example, would be devastating). Im also considering keeping the Seekers on them, so if they get forward deployed with Scout, I can get a alpha strike in.

Im not sure what I was thinking with the Skyray. If I can, I'll probably replace it with another Railhead.
