I didn't see this posted elsewhere in the forum. It it were, I apologize.

I was looking at the GW Webstore and I noticed that all Fantasy Army Books are gone. No more. This is the most damning evidence yet that there will be no new '9th Edition' and that Sigmar is where we will be moving forward.

It seems the old system is in danger of being completely gone and we'll have Oldhammer with whatever books we have at the moment.

9th ed is 'Warhammer, Age of Sigmar'. If you want any of the old books the stores will still sell them.

Yeah, I did kind of expect this to happen.

I'm debating whether I should've picked up the army books of armies I'd still like to read or use armies of in 8th edition games but I guess with them being out of OOP the pdfs of them I have on my laptop won't be as frowned upon

Currently I have the Skaven, Empire and Vampire Counts books.
Now I need to pick up the ones I want to get (or may get in the future) so I need Lizardmen, Warriors of Chaos, and maybe Demons of Chaos and Dwarves...hopefully I can find some at my flgs

And this is exactly why I do not regret buying all army books in hc knowing this would happen. Sucks for those who want them but you will probably find them on ebay cheap eventually.
