Useful! Good example of showing how multiple materials can work together!

What else can you pack in the base besides clay? How about the rough texture stuff?

Cool article, thank you. What I did was got a metal washer and glued that in first. After that I got a piece of plastcard and cut out somewhat of a base to attach the feet of the figures to. I glued that to the washer and then filled the gaps in with spackle.

It seemed to work well and added some weight to the base which I liked.

Nice ideas thanks - have some similar bases with a slot for the mini. As always the slot is way too large for the metal part, but clay will hold it place nicely.

Off to Hobbycraft I go...
