Hey everyone, thanks to Age of Sigmar I can now reasonably collect and run the Skaven ARMY that I want! I am going with very Stormfiend heavy list as they are awesome models and plan on running a Clan Skryre themed army. I guess we are basing things off wounds now so here is a first attempt at an 50 wound list (since both Age of Sigmar forces, the Storm Callers and Chaos are both around 50 Wounds apiece) thanks for your feedback!

-Ikit Claw (*5 Wounds*)

-x3 Stormfiends (*18 Wounds*)
*w/ Warpfire Throwers or Rattling Guns

-x3 Stormfiends (*18 Wounds*)
*w/ Warpfire Throwers or Rattling Guns

-x3 Poisoned Wind Mortars

TOTAL WOUNDS: 50

Ikit is damn good.

His main weakness is that he doesn't have a unique command ability, but there's nothing wrong with Inspiring Prescence as such (although you've got no-one especially bravery-dependent).

He's as tough as footslogging heros get, and especially good at killing multiwound models (warpstorm is good for punching through armour, too).

The poisoned wind mortars are lethal crowd control - they'll devastate units like marauders and peasants - but they're really, really fragile now, and I'd be worried you haven't got enough models to provide them with any sort of skirmish screen. You'll need to find some terrain, hide behind it and hope there's no fast or flying cavalry coming the other way.

The stormfiends - Personally I'd take warpfire projectors. 12" isn't such a range that you can expect multiple turns of fire without getting charged, and whilst 18 shots a model is possible, with a realistic roll, plus roll to hit, wound and save, you're probably off with the reliable mortal wounds from the warpfire throwers

Thanks for the replies guys I appreciate it! In regards to the Stormfiends I really can see myself leaning towards the Warpfire Throwers since I love fire and reliable Mortal Wounds (minimum of 2) helps as well however still think I'll play test both or run one of each!

The Hellpit isn't a bad idea however I'm trying to keep this list at 50 Wounds since both armies in the Age of Sigmar box are around 47 Wounds each. I have however considered a Doomwheel instead of the Poisoned Wind Mortars since its more Skryer, what are your thoughts on that?

the doom wheel looks like it could be a good distraction piece. locarno is right about the lack of a skirmish screen but with the True LOS targeting i dont see there being a big issue without one. personally im thinking a gunline of jezzails is wjere im looking for mortal wounds. i can finally reasonably use my 18 of them.
im really liking throt the unclean ability to give a moulder unit another round of attacking. makes ratogres sickening.
