Hey guys i play 40k never really cared for fantasy, but AoS looks fun and the fact that i dont have to buy a rulebook and codex is awesome. I was looking throught the 4 page rule pdf and skaven scrolls (thsts the army i like) didnt see anything on unit points. So questio is how do you decide your army size?

Your army size in any given game is decided during deployment. It is only limited by how many models you have in your collection, although your opponent can access sudden death objectives if he only deploys a third as many models as you. Alternatively, you can always decide approximately how many of what kind of models each side should take in a given scenario. But there is no FOC or other composition requirements.

Im a HUGE 40k player.

I hate Square bases, Rank and File and the movement of old WHFB.

But AoS rules are actually really good! Besides 1 thing........ No Points/FoC. So if they come out with a point/foc system I will play.

I like how Combat is, everything can hurt everything, Bigger/better units have Rend and some special Rules, Heroes Have abilities and I like that Combat isnt a Full melee combat that you can shoot out of it.

I cant wait to see this "Campaign with more rules"

Alot of Homebrew rules are

"Limited to Wounds" 100 wounds each side
"Limited Warscrolls/units" 12 Units per side
"Limited Wizards and Duplicate Heroes"
"1 Single Model unit per X amount of wounds"
"No Double Summoning" ATM you can summon a unit and if that unit has magic, it too can use it
"Limited Model count per unit" Can only Dbl the size of a Unit

I've been playing it as Limited Warscrolls, No Duplicate heroes and Limited unit size.

So we play Up to 15 Warscrolls, a Unit can be Minimun size or Dbl the size. If you Dbl the size of a unit then the other player has the Opportunity to dbl 1 of there unit sizes.

I feel Wounds is a terrible way to balance, Many units are stronger than others of the same Wound pool.
