Hi all

I know this forum proberly want questions and diskussions, however I feel like doing a little feedback after trying my first kings of war game.

Background:
Me and one of my friend began talking about whats going to happen to warhammer, after the release of AoS. Personally I dont really mind the changes so long a good balance arrive at a point. However my friend disliked the idea of throwing a entire system out the window.

So after many fine warhammer, 40k, flames of war, machine & hordes games we agreed to try a 1k point kings of war game.

First of all, I was surpriced how easy the rules was to learn. We quickly began the game the day after agreement and we went for a elves vs. army of humanity.

After turn 4 the result was so clear that my friend survendered to my elves, however we both agreed that it have been a fun game.

First of all, we liked the flow of the game, even through we sat in the rule book quite a few times (still found nothing of warmachine range on canons and bolt throwers, so we agreed on 36") the game was done in 2 hours.
Secondly, it was easy to get hold of even the special rules
thirdly, not having to remove each model and keep track of every single model was quite good, even through we had feared that it would ruin the fun with the generic rules.

After trying it, we did not really miss all the details in warhammer.

So a very good meeting with a new game that made me smile again in figure gaming.

We both agreed that we have to play a few more games to see if this still is as fun like the frist game.

Once you get the hang of the rules (another game or two) you'll finish a 1000 point game in an hour.

I was in a tournament in April, 1000 points (which was more troops under v1 rules - they increased many of the point values in v2) and I played 3 games in 4 hours.
